Clarbeston Road AFC was formed in 1960 and started playing in the Pembrokeshire League in 1961. Clarby is now one of the biggest football clubs in the whole of Pembrokeshire. It has over 200 registered players and boasts a total of 13 teams (2 mens teams, 9 boys teams, a ladies teams and two girls teams).

In 2003 and 2008, Clarbeston Road AFC was awarded the accolade of 'Welsh Club of the Year'. The first club in Pembrokeshire to achieve this.
